Short writeup:
Upon first impression, the paper feels similar to a JC1 promotional exam paper. Many questions were testing students on JC1 topics such as Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding, Reaction Kinetics, and Energetics.
No transition metal or electrolysis is tested in this paper.
Organic Chemistry is tested. However, the skills required to solve the question were already learned in chapters all the way up to Halogenated Alkanes.
This paper does not have a contextual question but does offer an anchor question in a different way - Data analysis, Q5. The question revolves around energetics and the study of an atom.
The study of an atom seems to be the theme in the paper and appears repetitive. Hence, the paper seems flat to me.
It is a paper recommended for students who would like to practice and revise H2 Chemistry at a slower pace. This paper can be done as a topical revision or question-by-question individually.
However, this paper is great for revision during the March holidays even though the syllabus is not completed yet.
