Short writeup:
The 2021 SAJC H2 Math Paper 1 has notable deviations from typical A level papers. A significant example is the inclusion of parametric equations twice—once for differentiation and once for integration—whereas these topics are usually tested together.
Despite this, the paper excels in providing valuable insights. It features questions that apply Math to other disciplines, such as physics, and integrates multiple topics across the syllabus. The questions also challenge students to engage deeply with algebraic manipulation, enhancing critical thinking.
Overall, I highly recommend JC2 students use this paper for day-to-day practice, especially during the June holidays. While it may not be the best model for an actual A level simulation, and therefore a poor choice for timed practice, it offers a wealth of learning opportunities.
